Re: Glue

I have trouble with my bottles eventually clogging the tip and wasting part of the product in the bottle. For my latest bottle of CA*, I have been extremely diligent with cleaning the tip and swabbing out the applicator tip with a paper clip. This still wasn't enough and at one point I resorted to u...

Re: 15mm WWII Miniature Alternatives

For those interested, Gaming Models has recently added 88mm Flak guns to their line up. Certainly a more cost efficient way to add more 88s to your German army.

Re: Germany wins D-Day?

There's a lot of what-ifs to play with. However, I think naval and air supremacy over the target area at least ensured the beachheads could be created and held. In cases like the landings at Anzio, where panzers really did nearly drive the Allies into the sea, close shore support from destroyers bro...

Germany wins D-Day?

Over the Summer a fan-group held a World Wide Flames of War campaign, centered around the Invasion of Normandy. The end result was the Allies failed to progress as far as their historical counterparts in the time alotted and Germany won the campaign. In the wrap up a rather fanciful alternate histor...

Re: Easy Eight worth using?

Sadly, during the revision when Transport was changed to Exposed Transport the cost associated didn't go down. So almost every piece with Exposed Transport remained or became too expensive. Alot of positive changes were made to the Easy Eight but it remains too expensive because of Exposed Transport...

Re: Best (or fav) Allied/Axis infantry unit?

For Utility: Any 3 point infantry. They're hard to beat as far as cost/effectiveness go. Aesthetics: SS-Panzergrenadier is a great looking mini. You can't beat the quality of the Base Set infantry. My personal favorite: Guards Infantry because I waited forever and a day for them. They're pretty cool...

Re: Does anyone know why the Forumini is down?

This just in!: "The notorious hacker, Hack R. Webb, has been targeting Axis & Allies themed websites. Authorities say his animosity came at an early age when a truckload of Axis & Allies Miniatures crashed through his home, instantly killing his dog, Patton. Later the tragedy was further when it was...

Re: railway defenders???

Something fun might to try out an armed train vs. partisans. These trains were armed with MGs and light ATGs as well as having their own compliment of Infantry, and sometimes even light tanks like Pz-38(t)!

Re: Who is "Battle Front"? (as opposed to Battlefront minis)

I talked to an old grognard at the LGS about it. He mentioned that Battlefront miniatures made minis long before Flames of War was around. So as others have mentioned, it's just a pre-Flames of War Battlefront package.
