Info on bandits High

A note from Richard Baker's Blog:" onclick=";return false;
Richard Baker wrote:Soon to be Released: And, in case you’re curious what’s coming up next in my game design, keep your eyes peeled for Axis & Allies Air Force Miniatures: Bandits High. This is set 2 for the Air Force minis game, and it includes a bunch of new models for aircraft that didn’t appear in set 1. In addition, there are some very creative uses of aircraft that flew in different air forces, so that you’ll see some familiar planes in some very unfamiliar national markings. Did you know that the Romanian air force flew Hurricanes? Or that the Finns flew Brewster Buffaloes? It’s a fascinating bit of history, or so I think. Anyway, AAAFM Set 2 should be released on or around February 19th, so get your orders in.

Nice find Ober. Can't say "familiar planes in some very unfamiliar national markings" gets me too excited. Hopefully that isn't code for reprints with a different paint job.

Is there a "confirmed" units list somewhere? Definitely add the Finnish Brewster Buffalo to that. Hopefully that one sees a US version as well.

The starter should have (sales flier)
P-38J Lightning Ace
P-39D Rookie
FM-1 Wildcat
Ki-43 "Oscar"
Ki-61 "Tony" Ace
A6M3 Zero Escort

It also says that there are 14 reprints (from Set I - we assume)
thats 17 new planes (though some might come in different variations)

The sales fly mentions also:
Ju87 Stuka
Navy Corsair
IL-2 Sturmovik

And there is a picture of a Spit V also

From Hints from M2A0

IAR-80 (Romania)

Finnish Buffalo
Romanian Hurricane

IIRC a D520 was ibumped from set I and is thuis likely to show up.

Asd the Stuka and Sturmovik are in the boosters, I hope that there is also a Val and Dauntless (can't imagine that US and Japan don't get a DB in a Pacific centered set)

Oh And there is hope (on my side) for a ground attack with rockets.

Just came to me the Dauntless could be also a Corsair with bombs/rockets ;)

Is one of you guys considering to buy a case of boosters?

I preordered the starter and a couple of boosters. I figure I will pick up a few singles in the early release days and then wait until the cases go on clearance like the the Angels 20 ones have.
