Finally I got some time and picked Westen Poland, and the army is
http://www.aamcardbase.com/army_builder ... 268n7,20n1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I have played with slight change of rules which usually favors defenders... until today :)

Random map (4 maps, 2" hexes) draw ended in forest and swamp rich area with Polish town in the corner. Polish forces waited in an ambush behind a forests, but swarm of the mechanized Wehrmacht units proved too big a tide to counter. A bitter fight was fought and brave polish soldiers managed to inflict some casualties to infantry and MG, destroyed 3 halftracks and damage to one of the Panzers. Panzer proved inefficient against armor, and if there was not for armored car and artillery, 7TP would chase attackers away.
German message to high command would be: we need something against enemy armor! We need big guns and stronger armor. Schnell!

It was a great scenario, I can't wait for more to come!

Great - Thanks for the report

I am well behind my shedule for teh campaign, so your report will be used for final tally - I made the same experience with this army - The 7TP is a beast (compared) and would have won the day if I had 2 or three (unfortunately for Poland I only have one ;))

The Tankettes are also nice if kept in cover.

HQ to Army HQ... - Heeresgruppe Posen will relieve you - hold positions...

Final Tally for the first week of Fall Weiss.

Heeresgruppe Ostpreussen makes it almost to Warsaw and prepares to take the Polish Capital. (Next battle)

Heeresgruppe Schlesien encounters heavy resistance and suffers heavy casualties, but manages to take its objectives - due to casualties it will be pulled out of battle and being rebuilt.

Heeresgruppe Süd manages to take Souther Poland with relative light casualties.

South And Wester Poland are now in German hands and Warsaw will be the next target of the Wehrmacht.

Thanks to Pilgrimtone and Sismis - they both recieve 1 campaign point for their contributions (Campaign points will ultimate translate to "rank" and "influence". This will enable them to make some decisions in the future.).

BTW - the more reports you send in the more points you earn and the faster you will advance.

Currently you both are

"Conscripted" :egrin:

Sorry for the long delay but the christmas season did not yield much "playing" time...

As the Warsaw action did not include many (polish) troops, I decided to do it alone, but there are otehr battles to come.

Warsaw was a quick thing the Poles stayed in cover, but could not maketheir cover rolles, so it was a quick and easy win for the Germans. Only a Sd 231 was damaged in close assault.

The Polish fleet was ordered to break through amd Link up with the RN, but was soon intercepted by a German force. The Polish destroyers managed to torpedo a Z-Klasse-Destroyer and also hit the Nürnberg twice before going down. The Submarines were not too lucky and did not score a single torpedo hit. (stoopid ASW threat rules ;))

The German focus will shift to trade warfare against the UK and fortifying the border with France. Poland still has forces left, but now the SU will start to attack Eastern Poland.
