this is the new address for the Game Kastle in Fremont CA opening the end of the month. Great news in such an okay economy. they focus on a lot of board games, FoW, 40K, D&D, and LOTS of tables for gaming!

3911 Washington Blvd, Fremont, CA. (510) 651-4263

just dropped into the new gaming store in Fremont. it's a smaller version, but great location. Parking is in the back of the building. If you're going there from 680... take the Washington exit, and heads towards the Irvington area. When you see the Safeway and Chase bank, the store is located directly across from there.

we're having a small FoW game day at my place Saturday. Entek, Mike and Bean are scheduled to attend. Pieces are provided, and we'll sneak out for a pizza run for lunch.

Just announced on the forumini...the possibility of a visit from Audacity and friends from Canada in august. I will make them an offer to suggest strongly to visit northern CA. We can suggest Pacificon as a meeting point late august.

I got to enjoy some "family gaming time" with Steve and Entek. We played several games with the family in mind including Ticket to Ride and Apples to Apples. There was actually four guys with four wives/girlfriends. We also had several kids there as well. The Ticket To Ride game was a 'learn how to play', and Apples to Apples was included for one of the kids there too. I didn't win the Ticket to Ride game...first time playing, but I did clean-up the table on Apples to Apples. The next game up was the Star Wars game. I was able to stay for that, but that looked really good!

A big thanks to Steve for arranging the time, and to Entek for providing gaming knowledge, and a positive gaming experience. My family actually liked the time they spent there. I'm sure we'll plan some more time, and get other people involved.

thanks again guys!
