guards infantry. haven't used 'em yet, but for what i spent on 'em they're gonna do some fighting.
Honestly they are too expensive 28 points - you get a KV-1 for 4 points more a- and the latter is the better tank. especially with 9/9/7 vs infantry.

T-34/76 is one of the worst costed tanks in the game
I hate KVs the same way Pletch hates the Stuarts. They take forever to kill unless you gang up on one with all your units and Kill it in one turn. Mean while the rest of the KVs are heading for the objective. Even close assaults are tricky when the KVs are concerned.

:t34: :maw: KV-1 rules

You need at least 2 Pz IV F2 to kill a KV-1 The "trick" is to disrupt the KV-1 and damage it for the first time. Next turn You have to (at least redisrupt it) - usually your second F2 is disrupted or damaged and will be of no good this turn.

On turn 3 you must drive the damaged f2 into medium/short range to redisrupt the KV-1 then the second F2 has a good chance to kill the KV-1 (damage should be achieved at least. Usually the first F2 is killed now, but 22 traded for 32 is worth the deal.

Of course the Russian infantry must prevent this scenario.

Even 2 KVs can be done in with 3 Pz IVs (gang up on the first and pray that at most one F2 is damaged)

BTW the smaller maps are a pain - thats why I prefer the 2" maps even with the larger vehicles

They definitely need some work. It should have probably been changed when the Panzer IVG was changed in the revision. T-34/76 went from 2 points less than a Panzer IVG, to 5 points more overnight. In 1941 scenarios the T-34/76 is really powerful so 28 pts might be warranted, but I agree by 1942 it costs too much.

PPSH-41. They are very good at short range, you just need a way to get them up close.
T-34/76. The :t34: is a good tank and transport. It can destroy vehicles while transporting a PPSH to close to the enemy infantry.
T-70. Cheap tank, I use it to overwhelm and swarm the enemy because I can afford a lot of them.

The Cossack Capt. is a great unit, if it weren't so expensive! :D

Once my T-34 loaded with a Cossack made it through a hex with a Panzershreck, SS PnzrGren, and a Blackshirt... Soooo intimidating! :D

The KV series is a beast, and the Shock troop/Guard combo is awesome! The Hero is nice too, only a Flamer can kill it! :D

The T-34 is an iconic tank, but it won the war for the Soviets more because they produced over 60,000 of them. Nearly double the ENTIRE tank production of Germany.
