No I mean literally :D

But you are quite right. I try to soften the damage by not counting shipping price
And if it would only be the money.. it's the time as well!

Well I'm sure I've not been there but you may have fooled me yet. I note that the big grey line that looks like a road seems superimposed as it runs directly over some buildings. Also the landscape picture you included looks like a video game screen shot and that it may be a game that others of you play.

Westfield and you got me good on that one. I so want to play AAM on that map and so will Scub and Ace. Very cool buddy, well done

@Audacity - Its a excellent facsimile of a map we play on in world of Tanks online game and seeing it done as a google based hex map is pretty creative and cool.

Wooohooo bingo! :D

Well thank you. It's great map in WOT and I hate it because I always do something stupid and die because of it :D So I build it to practice offline :D I hope I will have it done this weekend.

@Audacity - eye of the eagle. You are correct. And will fix that road thank you ;)

you were close
It's central Switzerland
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=zurich&h ... rland&z=15" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

the only place I could find that has
- high zoom resolution
- good colors. most are high contrast low color
- taken shots on summer
- have rolling hills, high cliffs, forests and villages
:D

Here it is, release candidate 1.

Some areas don't fill entire hex. I wanted to add some atmosphere and a degree of uncertainity. So,
- space with 3 open borders and space with undergrowth is considered to give partial cover (6+ on save) and vehicles can enter it automatically.

3 cliff spaces in the middle without inner border (M6 and 2 neighbours) are considered impassable. Upper left corner is impassable. I actually placed a plateau there as it is large unplayable area but removed it as it would probably give significant advantage to it's side (think artillery).

Any comments, ideas and criticism is welcomed :D

Looks good! What about center dots for LOS?

Whoops, forgot about it :D

Any thing else? Obvious chokepoint, better configuration? Maybe to remove forest right below center village...it's type is not obvious even to me..
