Historic Battlefront warehouse setting- underconstruction

Unread post by dano903 » Sun Aug 19, 2012 9:20 pm

I'm going to attempt a recreation of the warehouse map stalker posted. I thought I would start a new topic, and group these ideas.

1) pillars

2) walls

3) destroyed walls

4) water/oil tanks

5) warehouse debris including fallen roof

6) Dano's tweak on these idea

7) boiler

these are the items I will start with.

the first set of pixs is for the walls. there are the intact walls, and one destroyed wall section so far. the hexes are 5cm long, 1cm wide, and about 12mm tall. based on the map provided, I think the size is correct. the hexes in the pixs are a 2" hex.

here are some updated pixs. I'm still using the 2" hexes. I primed the hexes, and flocked them.

Great little project. Looking forward to seeing it evolve. Sorry I haven't contributed much lately but I'm working brutal hours and week-ends too. I only had yesterday off this week so I didn't get much done on the Panther and Centurion. :(

we totally understand! we'll be here when you have a little more free time. In the meantime, I need to make some more oatmeal pressed bricks! You might have noticed Gunther has been around!

the bases were redesigned so the corners can touch without the base getting in the way. the walls are slightly longer than the base. the two walls in the background are the perimeter walls... a little extra feature. I added some warehouse equipment, and I have more to add...I have to sleep now!
